My name is Leslie but many know me as Mamma Bear. I have always been the "mom" with a very nurturing, but tough love heart wanting to take care of and keep others safe. At 42 years old I have experienced and seen a lot in life. I've been the person who took money for granted with not a care in the world to the person living in a tent with nothing but the clothes on my back wondering where my children's next meal was coming from. so i understand what it feels like to need help but not know where to turn and feeling ashamed to ask. I want The Bear Den to be a place people feel safe knowing asking for help does not make them any less of a person or a bad parent! In fact the complete opposite to have the strength to say "i need help" and reach out makes you very brave.

Hello my name is Keshia Miller. My passion has always been helping others. I not only have my own children I'm also a foster parent. I have a mentally disabled son and know what it is to struggle in life. I want to make a difference in our community. I'd love The Bear Den to become a family where we all help each other out. Not only do I want to help people in need I want to help out other foster parents.

We are a Non Profit Community Resource Organization Project under "Fulcrum Community Resources" dedicated to helping people in need. As the founders We are moms who have struggled ourselves in life and know what it's like to just need a little help to keep things going, moving forward. We firmly believe that in the long run only you can truly help yourself, you have to be willing to do the work it takes to better your situation. We want to be a stepping stone and the voice that says "you can do it!"  Life is not easy, everyone sometimes needs help. We are here to offer that.

It's more then just help, it's a support system

There is no shame in asking for help!

Community means a lot to us, we promise to always uphold the highest standards in dedication to achieving our goal of making a difference.
